applying for the CLC
adoption grant

We get it. Funding an adoption can be overwhelming, which is why money is the #1 reason families who consider adopting don’t do it. Christian Life Center (CLC) wants to help.

We believe every child deserves the love of a family. Thus, our goal is for kids to be adopted into traditional, 2-parent (male & female), married, Christian families or into Christian single-parent families.

We keep the process simple so you can focus on bringing your child home.

Specifically, we offer financial assistance based on the following:

  1. Leading of the Spirit as we pray for wisdom.

  2. Minimum 12 months of attendance.

  3. Active CLC membership, or willing to become members through Growth Track, with consistent serving, etc.

  4. Availability of funds.

A Few Quick Considerations When Applying

The process is simple. To begin, complete and submit an application by clicking on the link below. Then wait to see if you qualify for the grant.

Note: Application process time frame: 2 - 4 weeks

There are limited funds for these grants. Each application is prayerfully considered.

Further, here are a few considerations:

  1. Submit an application after your home study is complete and before your adoption is final.

  2. This application is for domestic and international adoptions.

  3. You may only submit 1 application for assistance to Christian Life Center. But 1 application may be used for multiple children being adopted. A $5,000 grant is available per child being adopted should the application be approved.

  4. All grant applications are reviewed and decided upon by Christian Life Center. This is an objective evaluation and independent decision-making process.

  5. Families must complete an interview with Christian Life Center staff before grant is awarded.

  6. Families must be in alignment with all Christian Life Center’s Mission and Values.

  7. If you are awarded the CLC Adoption Grant, funds will be disbursed to your family once you are $5,000 away from the total adoption cost needed to adopt a child. For instance, if an adoption costs $30,000 and you have raised $25,000, the CLC Adoption Grant may help your family cross the finish line by providing the final $5,000 needed for the adoption.

  8. If you are awarded the CLC Adoption Grant and you are adopting through fostering, grant funds will be disbursed after the adoption is legally final and the child is in your care. We will require proof of adoption before any funds are released. Grant money may be used up to 12 consecutive months from the date your grant is approved. Money may be used for ongoing therapy sessions, necessary medical bills, special at-home equipment needs, etc., in line with the CLC mission and values. CLC will determine what is approved for reimbursement and what is not. You will need to submit receipts to Ryan Manger, NextGen Team Leader, in increments of $1,000 or more for reimbursement. Expenses will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $5,000 per child.

All questions about the adoption grant can be addressed to our NextGen Team Leader, Ryan Manger, at rmanger@clcdayton.org.
