Description: Project 127 is a home repair ministry. The goal of Project 127 is to show the love of Jesus to those who are not financially and physically capable of doing their own home repairs and to provide opportunities for our congregation to tithe their time and talents.
Repairs are only done when security and safety issues are apparent. We do not provide cosmetic assistance. Project 127 teams up with a national organization called Rebuilding Together to assist with these needs. Rebuilding Together recruits several Dayton area churches, corporations, and other volunteer organizations in the revitalization of homes in Dayton and the surrounding Dayton area.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Electrical
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Dry-walling/Plastering/Painting
- Phone Callers (coordinates volunteers)
- Project Leader (work site leader)
- Project Estimator (estimates repairs)
- Yard-work/ House cleaning
Training Requirements: Skilled and unskilled labor is needed. Project Leader must be skilled in all areas.
Time Commitment: Most projects are done from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm on Saturdays throughout the whole year.
